Binge eating + intuitive eating

Feel normal around food again

If you're always starting over on Monday, you're not failing. The diet is. I help chronic dieters and anyone stuck in the restrict and binge cycle get off the rollercoaster and learn to trust their body again, using intuitive eating and a whole lot of compassion.

Sound like you?

Tired of the Monday reset?

  • You're great at following a diet for a few weeks, until suddenly you're not.
  • You feel out of control around certain foods, so you don't keep them in the house.
  • You eat past full, feel guilty, and promise yourself you'll “be good” tomorrow.
  • Food is how you cope with stress, boredom, or a long day, and you're not sure what else would work.
  • You know way too much about calories and macros, and you're exhausted by it.
  • You've heard of intuitive eating, but it sounds too good (or too scary) to be true.

What we work on

Getting off the rollercoaster, step by step

Breaking the restrict and binge cycle

Eating enough, regularly, so your body stops acting like it's preparing for a famine.

Making peace with “trigger” foods

Gradually bringing them back until they lose their power over you.

Hunger, fullness, and satisfaction

Learning to notice what your body wants, and what actually feels satisfying.

Emotional eating, with compassion

Food is allowed to be comfort. We'll also build other ways to cope, so it isn't the only one.

Quieting the food rules

Noticing diet culture thoughts, and learning to talk back to them.

Gentle nutrition, when you're ready

Once food feels calmer, we'll bring in nutrition in a way that supports your health without the rules.

Where I stand

It's not a willpower problem

Binge eating is rarely about a lack of discipline. More often, it's your body's very reasonable response to restriction, stress, or years of dieting. Intuitive eating is an evidence-based framework, created by two dietitians, that helps you rebuild trust with your body step by step. It isn't a free-for-all, and it isn't giving up on your health. It's how you finally get off the rollercoaster.

A few common questions

What is intuitive eating?

A framework of ten principles that helps you move away from dieting and toward trusting your body's cues, making peace with food, and taking care of your health without rules.

Won't I just eat “junk food” all day?

It's a common fear. Some people eat more of certain foods at first, but once foods are truly allowed, they tend to lose their pull. Most people end up eating a wider variety of foods, not less.

Can I do intuitive eating and still care about my health?

Yes. Gentle nutrition is one of the principles. We just start with your relationship with food, so health choices come from care, not guilt.

Is this the same as mindful eating?

Not quite. Mindful eating is one tool we might use, but intuitive eating is a bigger framework that also addresses diet culture, body image, and movement.
